So you might be asking yourself who is this “Brett” guy? You might also be asking yourself why you are even at this site in the first place? If you are still reading this, then you apparently have your interest peaked just enough to stick around.

Well to start with, I was born on April 19, 1984. From there I grew up to become a designer. Although I was formally trained as an industrial designer at Auburn University, I tend to stick with my real passion in the graphic and web design world. I love what I do every single day, and could not think of a better way to spend my time.
Edit: I am now married to Mrs. Darnell. She is great!
I am a freelance designer and spend most of my time working on print and web design projects. When I am not working on a big project I spend every waking moment perfecting my skill set, as well as learning new techniques. Some [including my wife] might consider it a bit nerdy, but I love what I do, so what can you do?
I really hope that you enjoy your time here as I aspire to bring my daily life in the design world to a format where you are not just educated but also entertained. I am a huge fan of all types of media [video games anyone?] as well as all things cool, so there will always be some of that in the mix without a doubt.
I love to get feedback on my efforts as well, so feel free to make your opinions known. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you stick around…

For those that are interested, here is a quick rundown on the stats of this particular site. It is built on the Wordpress platform, using a bit of a hodge podge theme that I have pulled together from things I have created in the past, along with some new bits of code. Most of the site is dynamic, while a bit of it is static, so it is a pretty good mix of both. All graphic work was created using Adobe CS3. I also have a couple plug-ins implimented for the contact form as well as the social networking sites with each blog post. If you would like to know more, just give me a shout. I am open to any questions you may have.
And on one last note, please don’t steal my things on this site. I don’t steal from other people, so please don’t steal from me. Feel free to be inspired, but don’t blatantly take things. Thanks.
